About Open Access Documents
downloader.asia resolves a URL, DOI, arXiv id, PMCID, PMID, or paper title into the original PDF published by the author or publisher, fetched from arXiv, Zenodo, PubMed Central, DOAJ, Internet Archive, or OpenLibrary. Files are free, complete, and carry no watermark. Paywalled papers are not bypassed: when a work is not open access, the tool says so and links its official page.
Open Access Documents fetches the official PDF that an author or publisher already released for free. Unlike document downloader sites that stitch preview screenshots back together, the file you receive here is the original from the publisher's server — complete, with selectable and searchable text, no watermark, and no cap on pages.
Supported sources
- arXiv — PDF and LaTeX source; paste <code>arxiv.org/abs/…</code> or just the id
- Any DOI — resolved through OpenAlex, Unpaywall, and Crossref at once, with every open access location probed before it is shown
- PubMed Central / Europe PMC / PMID — full-text PDFs of biomedical articles
- Zenodo — every file in a record (PDF, dataset, attachments)
- Internet Archive & OpenLibrary — public-domain books as PDF, EPUB, or plain text
- bioRxiv / medRxiv / DOAJ — plus any journal page that publishes a <code>citation_pdf_url</code> meta tag
Searching without a DOI
If all you have is the title, paste the title. The system searches OpenAlex and arXiv for open access candidates and you pick the right one — no need to track down the DOI first.
Where it stops
We do not bypass paywalls and we do not touch documents whose owner restricted access. When a paper is not open access, the system says so plainly and shows you its official page — reach it through a university library or ask the authors directly, since many send a copy for free on request.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from other document downloader sites?
We fetch the official PDF that the author or publisher already released for free. What you get is the complete original file — not stitched-together preview screenshots — with no watermark, no page limit, and nobody's access rights violated.
Can I enter just a title?
Yes. If the input is not a URL or DOI, the system searches OpenAlex and arXiv and lists matching open access candidates. Click one to fetch its PDF.
Which sources are supported?
arXiv, any DOI (via OpenAlex + Unpaywall + Crossref), Zenodo, PubMed Central / Europe PMC, PubMed ID, DOAJ, bioRxiv/medRxiv, Internet Archive, OpenLibrary, plus any journal page that publishes a citation_pdf_url meta tag.
What if the paper is paywalled?
We do not bypass paywalls. The system tells you plainly that the paper is not open access and shows its official page, so you can reach it through a library or the authors.
Are files downloaded through your server?
Yes, they are streamed through the server to get around CORS and Referer restrictions, but nothing is stored. The direct source link is never exposed to the browser, so this cannot be abused as an open proxy.
